Welcome to the AWMA Hire Store.

The Albury Wodonga Military Hire Store hires a wide range of recreational products to current or past serving members of the AWMA including;

  • Caravans
  • Camping Equipment
  • Watercraft
  • Trailers
  • Entertainment and Party items

The Albury Wodonga Military Area (AWMA) Amenities Fund, is a not-for profit non-public money account (NPMA) established to provide additional amenity for ADF and Defence APS members posted to the AWMA.

In order to utilise the AWMA Amenities Fund Hire Store you must be posted too, on course or working for defence in the AWMA and also be the holder of a DCAC (ADF member or family, APS or Contractor) that allows access to Gaza Ridge Barracks.

Any equipment that is hired for use during a weekend either for a Saturday, Sunday or both days is to be picked up on the Friday and dropped off on the Monday. If a public holiday is involved, then pickup and drop off will be the last and first work day. All bookings that don’t meet these criteria will be adjusted by the Hire Store Staff upon receipt of the booking request.

Seeking EXPRESSIONS of Interest

 

Are you an ADF member transitioning to the Reserve Force or a current reserve member either CAT 2, 
3 or 5.
Are you wanting to work in a dynamic, ever evolving and rewarding job, and be part of a flexible 
and goal oriented team?
Can you parade for 100 days per FY year with the potential for more?
All required training will be conducted in house and on the job, this is a great opportunity to 
pick up some life skills and learn a myriad of handy fix it’s that are handy in day to day life.
The successful applicant will also gain some internal/external qualifications that are 
transferrable to civil industry.
And if that’s not enticing enough there is another bonus to working in the hire store.

The hire store is looking for someone who best fits the following criteria;

Rank; PTE – SGT,

Start date June 2024 (there will be a requirement to parade earlier for a HO/TO),

Be software savvy in excel, word, power point,

Has a trade (VM, Fitter etc. This is a nice to have but not essential),

Be physically able to manually handle stores and equipment,

Be confident, assertive when necessary and always friendly and approachable.
 
 
Job description includes but not limited too.

 

Processing bookings on excel spreadsheet, Conduct jumping castle training (Trg provided),
Pre and post hire equipment tech inspections (Trg provided),
Carry out minor maintenance as directed,
Respond to all phone and written enquiries in a timely manner,
Assist with test and tag, (opportunity to gain test and tag qualifications thru TAFE)
Assist the maintenance purchasing officer.
